I have had whales swim under my boat, circled by sharks, dolphins swimming alongside, seen penguins, had seals steal my fish (fuckers), seen the ocean turn white with massive school of Salmon. Then the enjoyment of hunting fish.
I know it is not for everyone but the platform on water comment is way off the mark. Big difference between being on a cruise, and having your own boat and going wherever you want.
But as I said, you don’t need to spend a fortune either. Even a zero maintenance sea kayak for $1k-$2k would be fun. Although I don’t fancy being circled by sharks in that thing.

Chinese cuisine varies a great deal throughout China. I did read something like “The south is sweet, the west is spicy, the north is salty and the east is salty”. The issue is the generic Chinese restaurant that sells lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork etc. The food at those places is pretty bad. We had a good one near us that sold some Sichuan food, but unfortunately they closed down.
