Third placed women’s essay creates controversy…

One of my twitter mutuals recently posted this tweet:

(for those of your without twitter access, here is what it said:

The Alberta legislature recently ran a short essay contest for young women aged 17-25. The results page has been taken down and many bees placed in bonnets because of the third place essay.

So as this chap is interested in many of the same issues that galvanize me I thought I’d read it, and it struck a cord with me. It also struck me that it had officially been obliterated, as it was only accessible through Web.Archive, consequently I thought I would repost it here, with some minor edits to introduce paragraphs in order to make it easier to read (the original is here if you would like to read it, it just got pushed into one giant paragraph making it difficult to read):

Women have a unique strength: our ability to give birth. This strength cannot be justly undermined, underestimated, or demeaned, for without it none of us would be alive today, our way of life and our culture would vanish, our very species would cease to exist. While it is sadly popular nowadays to think that the world would be better off without humans, or that Albertan children are unnecessary as we can import foreigners to replace ourselves, this is a sickly mentality that amounts to a drive for cultural suicide.

The first rule of health for any biological population is their ability to reproduce and pass along their way of life into the future. Women are not exactly equal to men. This biological reality is also under attack by present-day delusion. To try to promote that women break into careers that men traditionally dominate is not only misguided, but it is harmful.

Such a focus detracts from the languishing unique strength and the truly important role that women have in the preservation of our community, culture, and species. Unfortunately, present day government policies all-too-often have this misguided and harmful aim. Many women now realize in their late 30s that they actually want a child after having been taught that career was what mattered earlier in their lives, and they then regret not having done it earlier, when they were in their prime. Others couldn’t afford to have children when they were younger.

Sadly, having children is an expensive burden in our modern society. It is this way because our society has become oriented around personal greed and selfish and hedonistic goals [Stewie: e.g. LGBT as an aspirational lifestyle]. Families who are trying to raise children are competing for resources such as housing, and are at a disadvantage in this environment. And while there is some government assistance for people with children, it is primarily focused on the lowest income parents, so it provides little help to middle class families.

My vision of Alberta is a place that is oriented around healthy families and communities again, not around personal greed and selfishness. Recognizing children as being of the utmost importance in our society would be the cornerstone of such a future.

Unity among people requires shared common values, and the importance of children and family are the most fundamental values of any healthy population, so this is also the place to start towards achieving greater unity among presently-divided Albertans.

As a future parliamentarian, I would promote healthy appreciation for the value that young Albertan women have in their ability to carry our population forward into the future. I believe that the best approach would be to reward families for their reproductive service both with financial rewards to offset the financial burden they are taking on and with medals to symbolize their valuable achievement of having 2+ children.

Encouraging our society to reorient in this healthier perspective would provide the greatest good for Alberta going forward and would alleviate many of the problems that we are currently facing.

– S. SILVER

These are, imho, statements of inherent TRUTH. They are fact of common sense – they are exceedingly obvious to anyone who is prepared to think about the issues this woman spoke of.

Obviously this created an enormous shit storm in Alberta from Femanazis, Diversity Fascists and the usual LGBT brigade – all amplified by the msm who are overwhelmingly populated by those three groups and thus incredibly motivated to portray the essay as negatively as possible, until of course the inevitable – the essay was disavowed as racist and removed from the site.

Alberta cabinet minister disavows racist, sexist essay that won prize:

Alberta’s associate minister in charge of women’s issues Jackie Armstrong-Homeniuk says that an essay with sexist, racist and white nationalist elements never should have been awarded a prize in a contest for young women launched earlier this year.

The author, identified only as S. Silver, won third prize in the “Her Vision Inspires” contest….

…”Rakhi Pancholi, the NDP MLA for Edmonton-Whitemud, said no one from the NDP caucus was involved. She demanded the government release the names of the MLAs who were so they can explain how the essay was chosen in the first place.

“I am deeply troubled by this,” she said.

“I’d like to know how this happened and how it happened without anybody raising the alarms and saying this is inappropriate. Not just inappropriate. This is tantamount to hate speech.” …

…”The content is abhorrent and does not reflect the views of the Speaker or the Legislative Assembly Office.”

…”Lise Gotell, professor of women’s and gender studies at the University of Alberta, said the views promulgated in the essay about providing medals and money to encourage women to have more children reflect programs in Nazi Germany. “

“This essay is not only sexist, it is also quite racist,” she said.

NOTHING in that essay was hateful, it was love of our society, our children and a call for participating in the future. The author made no mention of race, merely that we should be aiming towards forging a common culture, i.e. immigrants become Australian or Canadian, rather than defining themselves as separate cultural and ethnic communities within our nations.

With the essay itself removed any semi-inquisitive member’s of the public curious as to what was written will only be able to access it through MSM articles which consist of quotes from conflicted and biased commentators, as well as a few selective, out of context passages from the essay itself. Ironically these people will walk away from reading the article probably agreeing that the essay was racist, while at the same time considering themselves to be well read and well informed.

This was also one of the reasons why it was necessary to remove the essay from public view. Any reasonable patriotic and family orientated person who read that essay would probably find themselves agreeing with large parts of it, maybe not all of it, but certainly some of the truths the author dared to utter – this would not do! Only the media’s narrative (propaganda) can be allowed to endure.

We’re not a society anymore, but an the Economic Zone Formally Known as the West. Our cultural heritage is being obliterated, our unity being dismantled and our ability to have a family squeezed out – and all the time while we are being lectured, nah, screamed at – that if we dare notice or dare suggest an alternative then we are hateful, racist, misogynistic, Nazis.

Honestly, we are being gaslighted into extinction by our academic, business and political elites.

Where is the racist bit?

robert2013

I lost a friendship in much the same way 5 years ago.

bjw678

Racist has lost any actual meaning.

Anything you don’t agree with is now racist, at least if you are of a certain inclination.

After the Labor party extra super plus immigration announcement, there is no more time to waste. We will be wiped out. I am thinking of designing and printing up a series of A5 or A6 flyers. Each one explaining in brief a different aspect of why mass immigration is bad for Australia. I can hand them out at the train station in the CBD every day. If anyone is interested or has better ideas, please reply. I can set up a Telegram chat or something.

You are potentially going to get arrested or bashed for doing that, do not do that

Yeah hitting the streets alone is pretty scary, but if we don’t do something other than type supportive messages to one another we are finished. Maybe I should join one nation. Pauline Hanson and Mark Latham have their flaws but they do actually seem to give shit.

Do it. I’m doing similar.

Not bringing my daughter into South Africa 2.0 because a bunch of cosmopolitan fags and trillionaires want to destroy everything.

That is considered problematic these days….

  1. Class action against unions for taking such a core position without asking fee paying members.
  2. Let elites, politicians, MSM know we’re coming for their wealth as this falls apart

hahahahahahahahahaha

good luck with that. They control any means that you could get at their wealth with.
And about Class action, they are “representing” you. Gotta love democracy.

Totes

That’s what you’d be challenging in court, that they don’t have the right to represent us on such core policy, and if we say we don’t agree, then surely a court would demand we be asked.. I think it’s worth exploring.

“They control any means that you could get at their wealth with”

Only while we are unorganised, dumb, and let them, and the start of that is undermining the complicit union executive.

How does this happen? Why is everyone with power pro immigration?

Ramjet

Why is everyone with power pro immigration? Your time in power is temporary and post political career board appointments are very lucrative. When you are paid over $200k pa plus Chairman lounge membership, drivers, meal and accommodation allowances, it is pretty hard to go back to being a middle class wage slave.

LostSocialist

I think Jeremy Corbyn was a far better example than Trump. Corbyn was for nationalisation of monopoly services, abolishing the lords and restructuring the democratic system to give more power to the people and even opposed lockdowns. He was the last remnant of the the real left that existed 70 years ago. He was too kind and soft to pull it off and was attacked from all sides, especially the fake virtue signalling left like the Guardian.
Trump on the other hand while mostly independent of the deep state (although his relationship with Epstein is very suspicious) and therefore a threat to many power structures was at the end of the day still a highly corrupt property magnet and a huge narcissist who was incredibly unlikely to shift power from the elite to the people. He did do a great job of showing how corrupt America is though at all levels. Although sadly a large portion of the people refused to see that as to many view everything through the democrat vs republican charade.

Totes

I’d commit tens of hours to letterbox drops, posters, etc in those electorates.

Labor actively didn’t mention immigration this election though.

Roger Dickings

I agree with Mal – that’s going to go pear-shaped for you.
Maybe think about ways to put sand in the gears within the “laws”.

Totes

If a new WORKERS PARTY arrived, in a similar look to Teals (but clever, logical, honest, worthwhile), it wouldn’t even need to concentrate on immigration. Just refuse to enter the debate pre election, exactly as LNP and Labor do.

Get into power on the back of enormous failure/disappointment of Labor, and then cut immigration.

Forty-Four Percent of the Pregnancies in a Pfizer Study Ended in Miscarriages. Pfizer Misleadingly Reclassified Them – DailyClout

The good bit…

Pfizer notes the miscarriages as serious adverse events (SAEs) with ‘moderate’ (2) or ‘severe’ (3) toxicity ratings. However, all the miscarriages were reported as being unrelated to the trial vaccine – i.e., having ‘Other’ causes – and marked as ‘Recovered/resolved’ adverse effects. To reiterate, not only does Pfizer deny any vaccine-related causality and assert the losses of life had other causes, but it also categorizes losing a baby as a ‘resolved adverse effect’ – like a headache that went away.

Exciting times all around. Don’t date any women who have been vaxxed. Not worth the risk!

LostSocialist

The free movement of labour, services, capital and goods is the basis of modern economics (aka corporate propaganda) and the ‘western world’. It has been a disaster for workers but is almost unanimously supported by politicians in the west. The modern left in particular will spontaneously combust before they even contemplate considering limits on migration. Subsequently modern leftists are reduced to arguing over more extreme identity politics as they have no differentiation on economic issues from the right. The right will pretend to be wholesome and support families but considering the rapacious economic policies they support it is just window dressing.
There needs to be a political and economic movement that focuses on improving the lives of working people. Yes I know that is what they all say they are doing, but none of them actually are, largely because they all have identical economic policies that are designed to crush wages at home through mass migration and also send manufacturing jobs to those countries where costs are lowest. The manufacturing costs most often reduced being wages and environmental protections.

Peachy

The manufacturing costs most often reduced being wages and environmental protections.

yes. I have concluded some time ago that you can’t really have “free trade” in goods with desperate shitholes without also, over time, importing the living conditions of the same shitholes, the same wages, the same rights abuses.

The pressure competition is too strong.

if we routinely bring in $4 T-Shirts sewn by 10 year olds doing 12-hour shifts in Bangladesh for $10 per day, it is guaranteed that the only way tshirts would be manufactured here would involve similar slave conditions.

they’re not going to be sewn by local middle-class seamstresses doing leisurely 8 hour shifts even at $25 per hour. Because – how can they? So the seamstresses here won’t be middle class for long.

and so on for every example of goods and services.

Last edited 2 years ago by Peachy
T

Exactly. Free trade is bull shit. Its not a coincidence what happened in Sri Lanka after signing the FTA with Singapore.

LostSocialist

Precisely tariffs on goods are required if we want to support a manufacturing industry in Australia. Yes it will lead to more expensive goods, but it will also lead to a greater quantity and quality of manufacturing jobs for workers and therefore greater ability to pay for any goods.

robert2013

Maybe but you need a lot more precision to make that claim.

Peachy

Maybe but you need a lot more precision to make that claim.

for sure. It’s not jsut a matter of slapping in some tariffs and then sitting back to watch work conditions and local industry rise.

it’s probably almost the opposite – it’s doing a whole bunch of stuff in order to encourage work conditions and local industry to improve…. Then attaching the tariffs to prevent all the other work being undermined by the seeping-in of products of slave labour & similar things that we don’t wish to have on our shores

LostSocialist

You could look at the inverse and how the removal of tariffs in the rest was linked to a steady reduction in manufacturing, although correlation is not causation there are some strong links.

Gruppenführer Mark

As I quipped on a different thread some time ago, we are well on our way to importing the living conditions and wages of certain shitholes. Must as well have the manufacturing to go with it.

Ramjet

Seems we would rather do services like food delivery than make stuff. I remember when we made our school uniforms here, I had to give them away and they were in excellent condition. My kids school uniforms barely last at all.

bjw678

There needs to be a political and economic movement that focuses on improving the lives of working people.

Working people lack either the means, the motivation or the ability to create such a movement. My money(pun intended) is on the means being the biggest factor.

robert2013

I think the ability is the biggest factor. Their own psychologies have been shaped against themselves. They get depressed rather than band together and break things.

JimsCentralBanking

If a white person wants to preserve their culture they’re racist, but we should accept immigrants wanting to preserve their culture, no matter how illiberal that culture may be, because anything less is also racist.

Seems weird.

Peachy

It’s pretty nuts, innit?

I mean I understand how nice it is to buy into the “brotherhood of man” Lennon hippie shit, but it’s completely misconstrues the concept of brotherhood.

biological brotherhood implies shared heredity and (very usually) shared history during upbringing and common values and culture inculcated during samesaid shared upbringing. And the resulting expectation of mutual understanding and support.

metaphorical brotherhood – such as in a religious order, military order, or criminal organisation is similarly based on shared history and values, through a selection process. The grouping of those who can, as a result of the selection process, be relied on to understand and honour the expectation of support. The fact of the brotherhood’s existence depends on the exclusion of outsiders. And so also the (generally accurate) expectation that outsiders can not be expected to really understand or relied on to support.

the freemasons, say, only exist because there are others that are not freemasons. And because they decide who to admit as masons, who to teach the secret handshakes to.

now, there apparently used to exist an institution known as Australian Mateship. This reportedly was somewhat concordant with a brotherhood, but EZFKA has put an end to it. It is not relevant.

JimsCentralBanking

Good points.

The one part of religion that has always appealed is the social bond that local churches seem to have. Same goes for military service.

Work, particularly blue collar, used to be a good place to form close relationships, but Economic rationalism/Neo-Liberalism’s promotion of individualism has basically killed off the union movement (as intended), which would have to be responsible for the decline in Australian Mateship.

EZFKA just demands we do what’s best for ourselves right now, without considering the long-term consequences.

Peachy

EZFKA just demands we do what’s best for ourselves right now, without considering the long-term consequences.

yes indeed

ironically enough, actions taken without considering the long-term consequences actually have very predictable long-term consequences.

so those that would encourage people to act that way should know quite well where this leads.
