A Sydney man is set for the gallows after being found guilty of causing serious harm to Australia’s economy, under new laws introduced this week.
Chris Harrison, of Ryde, posted that he was unable to afford a house and claimed the Australian economy was a ponzi scheme on Facebook. He was referred to ACMA who promptly marched him before the High Court, who in turn found him guilty of causing serious harm to the Australian economy and promptly sentenced him to death.
“You’ve recklessly undermined the ability of Harry Triguboff and the Migration Law Industry, among many others, to rent seek and sell property and Australian citizenship for profit. This is an unspeakable crime that deserves the harshest punishment,” High Court Justice James Edelman said in his judgment.
“The effect such reckless statements have on the housing market and my personal portfolio should be met only with capital punishment.”
Harrison will go to the gallows on Monday, constructed in front of the Meriton offices in Sydney.
