I wouldn’t call them traitors – they’re concerned and tried to do something, but they are ineffective because frankly they’re just too nice and trying to lead from the center.
The problem with this is that you lead from the edges, you govern from the center. SAP tried to lead from the Center, they tried to be the middle of the road party that everyone can agree on.
SAP failed at the first point – getting elected, no one wanted to listen to the cushy middle and their message has gone no where.
PHON on the other hand has failed at the second hurdle. They needed to become the opposition, instead they chose to become a party of influence or more correctly an extreme defacto wing of the coalition. PHON have no chance of ever leading in their own right if they don’t choose to become the opposition.
This means they need to stake positions in the ground and refuse to budge on them. They must never provide support until their populist demands are met – even the most unreasonable ones, even if that means hung parliaments and the threat of going back and facing election after election. One was or another they need to be seen to be the opposition on the populist matters that the electorate care about.
This honestly is the only way to do it in a democracy – become ungovernable, and support the populist agenda that is so thoroughly repressed.
By refusing to give undertaking to allow a major party to govern, it forces the Govt to make deals with the Opposition – this exposes them to being a defacto coalition themselves. The illusion of democracy under either LNP or LAB will be exposed as the sham it basically is

Three shit Master System games for $95 lol. That must be $250 in today’s money. New release SNES games I paid over $100 for that’s nearly 30 years ago. A desktop computer back then was anywhere from $2000-$3000, and not many people had dial up modems back then. Back then the evolution in technology in insane the computer would be slow and useless within a few years especially with the bloated operating systems.
Also remember paying $100 for a SNES game. 3 for $95 would have been a bargain back then, but towards the end I remember being able to run emulated ROMS on average PCs skipping a few console generations in the process.
On PC tech progression, can remember in the late 90s/00s Pentium Pro, 2,3 and 4 came out within a few years of one another which was also the time we learnt that you shouldn’t spend on the newest thing – my father paid a premium for it once, and decided that was enough.
Nowadays it doesn’t even matter. My last PC, a second gen i5 served me well for over a decade and even then it probably really didn’t need to be upgraded.
