Welcome to the first edition of Weekend Links!
I’ve aimed for three articles which were interesting during the week in a few different topics. Would appreciate feedback and/or what people want to see.
I’m thinking plan to get Weekend Links after 4:00 pm Friday evenings. About when folk stop doing work anyways.
Also – are you guys keen on little blurbs about what each link is about? The pastor one is funny because the pastor is himself overweight etc 🙂

Yay!
Good-natured Saint Bernard allows a baby goat to climb up and down it like a furry mountain.
Bunny and beagle are friends.
Sickly, emaciated horse is nursed back to health, and becomes surrogate mom to rescued donkey.
A miniature horse and goose are stable-mates and inseparable friends.
Sure-footed ibex and her kid climbs and impossibly-steep dam.
First!
Edit: Yeah – go ahead with a bit of a blurb. You’re no moralising ponce like Becker, so feel free to unleash. 🙂
Is this you stewie? 😂
Pretty much – although I’m more Homer’s age.
So I never once clicked on any of the weekend links in that other place. Not once. Not ever.
Should I read the EZFKA weekend links?
I read a couple… then some more. And I found them interesting, even if some items I couldn’t agree with.
Good job, T!
Thanks Peachy! I’ll add more blurbs for next weekend’s links.
Looking forward to it 🙂
I like the one about Rocinante and Dapple
For a bit of a lol check out these pictures of the perfectly happy Beckhams.
Out of Context Human Race on Twitter: “https://t.co/bKbPUknAJo” / Twitter
That Youtube is awesome. MSM are still banging on about how the international conglomerate almost got away with it with it’s bully tactics.
Facebook should have stuck to it’s guns, but refined it to make a market decision to link everyone’s content but Newscorp, Fairfax, 7, 9 and 10.
yeah this was the only good thing that facebook ever did. i dont use that piece of shit website anymore but i’d of loved it if they banned australians from sharing and posting on articles when i did, nothing worse than seeing that site clogged up with morally hectoring msm ‘news’ trash on people’s feeds. it’s a shame they backpeddled but of course they were going to.
Ergh. Juice Media are cringe.
Juicey media is over 90% of the media – even public broadcasting is. Public broadcasters are simply a secular reflection of the dominant elites cultural viewpoint.
On a similar topic, I recently researched who was responisble for 18C and the suppression of free speech in Australia in the 90’s under Keating. I was not surprised.
Play a game with Michael West’s list of ‘Dark Companies’ stop when you come across a Gentile – took me 7 goes, and that was purposefully excluding obvious ones like Trigg and Lowy.
i like the link selection more than the macro links already, i’d recommend unz.com as a good source for articles and links
Will do. I think it’s a matter of getting a process in place so did that this week.
Pretty happy with results, but have good ideas for next week.
CLARE O’NEIL SHADOW MINISTER FOR INNOVATION, TECHNOLOGY AND THE FUTURE OF WORK
https://clareoneil.com/media/speeches/covid-and-the-long-view/
We need MOAR immigration than before covid.
That is literally one of the most sickening speeches- I’m so glad I wasn’t sitting in the audience listening to that crap, I wouldn’t have been able to stay quite and would have probably been ejected for creating a disturbance.
And she was being praised previously frmo defecting from party line. Obviously got a tap on the shoulder. Most western white women and immigration do not mix well at all.
Does anyone else not really care about this current rape controversy ?
Of all the acts of fucking bastardry scomo has perpetrated on the Australian people, why is everyone suddenly up in arms about a he said she said maybe rape maybe just really drunk and regretted it later but both must be absolute worthless pieces of shit to be working for the liberal party in the first place
Like , aren’t there hundreds of actual reasons to call for this muppet to resign because he’s been worse than useless as you know an actual prime minister
Im less concerned about his role in a dispute between two reprehensible human beings that has absolutely no effect on my life
And the whole porter thing
I’m sure he’s a complete piece of shit as well, but this supposedly happened 20 years ago and the woman did nothing about it , then ended up topping herself so probably not the most stable or believable witness
And the guy is just presumed guilty and needs to resign immediately with literally not a skerrick of evidence
I admit I’m not really that informed on it since I don’t really care what happened , but the reaction seems bizarre and manufactured
yeah not me
the lnp are a collective rape gang of all australians as is the alp
hang out with those people or aspire to be another king-pin rapist out for their pound of flesh and nothing good is bound to happen
+1.
Imo there seems to be a coordinated attack on the LNP that started with Craig Kelly. I’d never vote for them, but this became really sus all of a sudden and then Porter gets the Brett Kavanaugh treatment.
MB has been super cringe all week.
MB is massively cringe generally. Thier core thesis is that the Oz economy would fall at once an external shock happened.
Yeah. That has been proven spectacularly wrong.
Now it’s just follow whatever sjw nonsense is trending. Probably so no one asks questions about their funds performance or the accuracy of their increasingly unhinged prognostications.
Ah well…
In their defence, I would say that almost no-one (including my usually cynical self) saw the insane amount of money printing and measures to keep the EZFKA charade alive, coming. We’ve gone super retard in comparison to the rest of the world but obviously EZFKA economics dictates that it would. Good learning experience for me.
If JK is actually terminated end of the month then I’m going to need to buy more popcorn.
“No one”
Before I got banned I was constantly telling everyone it was going to happen
So was the creator of this site
How could you not see it coming. When have they done anything other than what was required to support the bubble? In australia and the US and japan and europe.
Europe had already reached -ve rates pre covid.
The scale of it was what surprised me.
As I said, good learning experience for me. Don’t really care for the condescension.
All this stuff leaves me rather cold and uninterested. So I ignore it.
😁
You’re a fkn idiot and on that basis you should be fired and have your picked over minutely until they find something to put you away for good.
But that’s just my opinion and since I haven’t looked that closely because I don’t about you, meh, whatever.
But you’re definitely a piece of sht
is this migtronix
who are you talking to
Cunting
Ouch, someone must’ve rattled your cage today, migy?
Yeah! Dumb motherfvckers
Yeah Coming, I have previously dated someone who was r*ped and it was very obvious that any mental instability was a direct result of ptsd from the incident. Stop being ignorant and show at least a tiny bit of respect for someone who suffered to the point of ending themselves.
I feel like this is simple, if you don’t really care, don’t say shit! Gvckeur6
That spectator article on Biden is right on the money:
https://spectator.us/topic/joe-biden-china-patsy/
The (((media))) look straight past anything Biden does and straight through the ample amount of evidence that he recieved enormous kick backs through his son Hunter’s business dealing with them. The contrast in how they’ve treated the ample accusations and evidence against Biden in contrast to the flimsy (yet amusing Golden Shower) speculation against Trump is obvious.
The Rus are the traditional enemy of the Democrat’s power base, and have been for at least 500 years. Every aspect of Western interaction with Russia is hostility towards it through our financial elites and the media lackies.
DLS was practically orgasming over Biden’s election and his confidence that Biden would continue Trump’s fight against China – he is wrong, dead wrong, as I pointed out in the Bumbling Biden piece.
Tried to find the comment to link to in MB when I challenged DLS’s faith that Biden would maintain the rage, but they appear to have been victims of the great Becker purge. Basically I said that little by little by little over the next 4 years EVERY achievement by Trump will be unwound, such that by the time the next election comes around the dominate narrative will have returned to “China is our friend and Russia is our enemy.”
When I search for “Biden china engagement” on google now, I find no shortage of stories, and then I look to the stories on new sanctions against Russia, the US attacks against Syria and I know that my prediction will become truth well before the next US election…. I wonder if it will take that long for MB to catch on like they did with the China virus. Not sure when was the exact point DLS went from supporting the mainstream media narrative on the virus emerging from the ‘wet markets’ and poo-poohing my claim that it was from a viral Lab. to calling for and supporting an WHO investigation against Chinese scientific researchers who released the virus – I felt it was sometime in June or July last year.
The capitol occupation is becoming obvious (was always obvious to me) that it’s about protecting the regime and they are never being stood down. One look at Biden’s cabinet and it’s diverse nature shows you why.
Saturday 5pm and MB only has 71 comments
I think we could pass them
Would the whole website be obsolete if all the commenters came here ?
Can thank that tossbag Chris Becker for that. All the interesting conversation has left/been banned and now it’s just emotionally unstable types like mig spamming the comments section with banal shit and generic LNP bashing.
MB will die by the end of the year on it’s current trajectory.
don’t forget totes providing the irrational labor hatred although he seems to have gotten very quiet.
banhammer?
My hatred for Labor is genuinely from the position of a lifelong union member, pleb, lover of Australia, fairness and workers, the environment, from a scientific background, and reflects the views of pretty much every burb raised human I know.
That you don’t understand my position reflects your ignorance. I don’t like you mate. I think you’re a complete tosser.
“irrational labor hatred”
WHOA there. That was nnneeevvverrr your position on MB. It was always that my idea of replacing Labor with anti immigration Independents couldn’t work. You stepped on your dick there. Turns out you’re a Labor fan and didn’t like the possibility of them being replaced.
You either have a vested interest, or are the dumbest person I’ve ever experience, that I’m sure of.
Very quiet? Sick of arguing with idiots like you on MB, and I don’t plan on doing here.
I’ve got an idea, it’s got merit, and I’ll work out how, and if, I move forward with it.
Leave me alone mate. I don’t want you mentioning me here, and I don’t want to engage with you. Ditto Mig and smithy.
heya Totes! For what it’s worth, I find your approach to labor largely justified.
Much of the structure of the EZFKA was built with labor’s willing cooperation or without effective opposition from labor, which is the same thing. Actually it is not only the same thing as cooperation, but worse.
So as bad as the other mob is, Labor can be thought of as worse, because they are traitorous, to boot.
They are both groups of professional politicians, funded by the same invisible hands, and promoting the same policies for anything of relevance to their pay masters.
This is the inevitable end result of the system they operate in, blaming labor is missing the point and reinforces the status quo.
Need stephen morris to do a post to do this justice.
lol, when you get enough independents into parliament I’ll admit I stepped on my dick. While it’s just you ranting shit I’ll think I am looking pretty correct.
The fat that you assert I stepped on my dick without a single fact or argument to back it up says it all.
Dunning-kruger, look it up.
lol, if that was true you would have not commented and/or picked a different name…
…a system that they allowed and helped build, one small betrayal at a time. Perhaps.
but that looks like becoming a chicken and egg argument.
approaching it from a different direction – if things aren’t Labor’s fault (as Totes would have it) because Labor are an unavoidable manifestation of the system (as you would have it) and one finds certain aspects of the EZFKA objectionable (as some loosers do) … then what is to be done?
.A system built before australia existed that coopted a word for their own devices, and thought that hereditary entitlement was a great idea. The house of lords
Representative democracy concentrates power in the hands of a few that will always be relatively easily corruptible or more likely attract those willing to use that power for their own benefit in the first place.
Direct democracy is the solution, getting their I can’t help you on so much.
Entrenched power structures are unlikely to give up that power easily.
…”getting their I can’t help you on so much”…
So, you’ve got no idea how to fix a problem we can all see, yet your argument has always been ….”the problem isn’t Labor, it’s our democracy”…until today where your true colours show with….”don’t forget totes providing the irrational labor hatred”…..
I’ve got a solution, and from the day I presented it, you’ve ridiculed it, and all that time, what you had was…“getting their I can’t help you on so much”.
I even pointed out, the constitution can’t be changed without a referendum, which of course politicians have to agree to (or revolution which isn’t happening in the land of plenty until it’s too late).
I found out after a lot of painful dialogue from you and that @sheep guy, neither of you knew how voting works. i.e., it doesn’t matter if Labor win 80% of the country’s votes, unless they win enough seats they don’t govern.
Ditto DLS and UE going on and on about irrelevant 2PP polling, telling me ….”to put up or shut up”….When I point out the obvious, no reply. Then add Gunna with his extreme leftism attacking anything I said with his special pedantic style.
My subscription ran out, and I had to get out of there.
I was wondering where you were going with this. I thought it was going to be all historical materialism, but you went somewhere else 😉
i have my doubts over whether direct democracy would get us anywhere much different – over a few cycles.
first it would take a while for the inertia of existing institutions to fade away, then we descend into a democratically intermediated war of all against all? Then coalesce into some sort of groupings… with leaders, perhaps monarchs 😛
Maybe next weekend T will have some links to prompt a discussion on the theory of government and we pick it up then?
🙂
professional politicians, funded by the same invisible hands, and promoting the same policies for anything of relevance to their pay masters”
Then you should have no problem with me hating them.
“Dunning-kruger, look it up”
You’ve completely miscomprehended my reference to you stepping on your dick. You’re a goose mate.
“Need stephen morris to do a post to do this justice”
I’ve seen you do this before. Rallying troops to support your view, in an arrogant attempt to dismiss mine.
Don’t ask someone else to support your BS. Make your own argument.
Yes, I agree it’s worse. Much worse, given it’s Labor voters who are copping it in the neck, and I think it’s unanimous it hasn’t even started.
This is exactly why I hate them so much. They are the most fake, treasonous politicians Australia has ever had.
I’ve been anti immigration (global population concerned) for over 30 years. I’ve got a degree in science and can’t cope watching Labor and Greens talk about equality, workers, house prices, and particularly the environment while advocating 400k immigrants a year.
At least at a glance, everyone knows LNP are scum. Labor are far more sneaky.
Arguably the website has been obsolete for a long time already, it’s just becoming more apparent 😘
I don’t think we should set out to compete on numbers. I think we should set out to have fun
Interesting article about RNA vaccines and the issues they have had in the past
https://www.sott.net/article/445095-How-COVID-19-vaccine-can-destroy-your-immune-system
Funny that none has ever been brought to use for any rhino viruses or influenza etc
Yet the whole world is getting one now
I think the key point is, given this drug does not make you immune to Covid-19, its clearly not a vaccine.
Maybe it is some wonder drug which stops everyone getting the flu. But I’m happy to wait and see.
Luckily being a bloke in my 30’s, no chance I’ll be prioritized for it, so win-win.
Yeh, there’s plenty of information about how dodgy they are and it appears to be some kind of experimental gene tech. No fucking thank you.
The fact they are outright threatening everyone and taking away civil liberties on an unprecedented scale for a 99% survivability rate, should set the defcon 1 sirens off. Throw in the great reset, bill gates and everything else and it’s as clear as day that it is not about the virus.
Normies can line up for their experiment (as they are in the domainfax comments section). Scomo/Albo can stick it right between their eyes.
That is, for non-medicos, a rather technical discussion… it is also a few months old, before any of the products were really rolled out, I believe.
Peachy prefers praxis… if the vaccines they are rolling out for the COVID suffer from the problems that the article discusses (making people drop dead when they otherwise might have survived), when do you reckon we’ll see these outcomes. A few weeks after mass administration? Or a few months? Or are we talking about years?
What will it look like? More deaths overall, or a shift in the profile of those dying (say the younger ones taking it for the older ones)?
Ah yeah , here you go m8
https://www.ukcolumn.org/article/why-there-correlation-between-vaccine-rollout-and-increased-covid–19-mortality
Thanks, interesting reading.
The commentary of the fatality spikes revolves around only a handful of discrete sites (zoomed right in) on the one hand and very high level statistics (zoomed right out), so doesn’t really prove causation. But I suppose that’s part of the point being made – ther seems to be a correlation that should prompt investigation..
Again – thanks.
The problem is that the numbers are unreliable
PCR cycles, definitions etc etc
I know I sound like a crackpot taking this position but it’s actually happening
Alright, so let’s accept for the moment that this is happening.
Why? What’s the point? Cui Bono?
Seems like the outcome would be to accelerate deaths: those that might die will die quickly. And then it’s done. But this while this happens we have, being scored, some or all of the following points:
Have I got it about right? Are there other items? Which ones do you think are most important?
Yes more or less I agree
But I can make it simpler
It’s about fear and (in order to obtain) control
I watched the new Adam Curtis documentary recently and although it is almost schizophrenic and dream like in its lack of coherence , the same feeling comes across
The deaths are irrelevant, may not even be happening
It’s all about the narrative
fear —> control —> submission —> catharsis —> positive reinforcement
Money is secondary
Ta
Adam is now only a distant memory of what he once used to be. I’ve seen the last docu and it is detached from so many known facts (e.g. assessment of Tony Blair and Bernard Couchner legacy).
What I wanted to say is that his assessment of “Oh Dear-ism” is the very likely deseired outcome from COvid mismanagement – Confuse with contradiction on all levels until no one has a clue what’s going on and becomes mentally detached from events surrounding. Effectively making everyone become sheeple voluntarily
This is a problem generally for medicine. It really isn’t achievable in most cases.
“increased risk” is about as definite as you get.
People are to variable and it’s impossible to do experiments without thousands of uncontrolled variables.
Same sort of problem as economics and climate science have.
In the short term, that is. Over long periods of time, enough natural experiments get run that test and measure the various variables.
but this is exactly on point here – the push is for people to take a jab that’s been developed in 6 months and so can’t possibly have been subject to enough experimentation. I guess this is what bloke is talking about when he says he holds his breath for the first 30 million doses, too.
smoking causes cancer?
sometimes, sometimes not. But what other factors are at play.
i just think it’s funny how everybody now has complete trust in pharmaceutical companies, who were formerly amongst the most maligned and untrusted institutions in the world.
+ many
Opinion shaping is an easy task with enough resources, particularly in the age of syndicated msm. Throw in a bit of deliberate saturation (how many Q-tin escapees of virus) and sheeple will congregate by the butcher’s door thinking it is an escape hatch.
Err… not quite.
Some countries have a choice between Chinks, Ruskies, Big Pharma and it creates a paradox that adaptation is higher than a forced single choice made for thy with one only choice from those who will grease they way to the top choice with more fat.
Do the commie/eastern vaccines differ from western big pharma vaccines qualitatively?
Sputnik and whatever Chinese isn’t mRNA, based on hearsay I hear and say.
I just checked wikipedo and no mention.
I read people were queuing to get the Sputnik, those that see conspiracy everywhere leading the way
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sputnik_V_COVID-19_vaccine
Twitter is horseshit but there are still a few good follows out there. This guy has been on point since COVID started and watching the screaming from the pro-lockdown advocates is hilarious.
https://twitter.com/ZubyMusic
Yeah I follow him – he’s good. A few years ago he’d have been considered a centrist, now he’s lumped in with Right Wing Twitter.
Odds on Biden being replaced with President Harris in next 6 weeks? Pretty good I’d say. Ides of March and all.
did anything happen? i intentionally avoid any and all news now
Rumors afoot that they’re is something in the works but who knows. He went to answer questions during a live stream this week and the feed cut straight away, as though he went off script.
Bloke doesn’t know where he is most of the time. Refuses to do press conferences, hasn’t done a state of the union.
Lots is going on right now. But we are in fog of war.
Almost certainly will be replaced soon. But not until DS is convinced Trump is no longer a threat I feel.
Who knows.
I liked the Bill maher being supposedly flabbergasted by the very thing he supports covertly and under a pile of fake rants “against”. This is the very thing he preaches and the flabbergast is for the shows.
His cringed on Trump topics, at times he looked as if someone just suddenly yanked his barbed buttplug.
Maher seemed quite genuine with his “it bothers me so much that I have to be on this side of this issue” comment.
Acting is his forte, no doubt. But his ‘balanced’ debate is undoubtedly also acting. He weaves well between sharks and knows well how to handle defeat but his political bias and agenda is definitely on one side only. Extreme side.
Great showman though (and precursor for that is not being on the right side or being correct)
Self interested Hollywood gatekeeper. Wouldn’t take anything he has to say as serious opposition.
Bill Maher in one comic:
http://stonetoss.com/comic/whos-left/
Anyone know how the MB fund went in February?
ill get you the results when i can stomach to look at it
Dont rush. Only when you’re emotionally ready.
I’d ask Chris Becker but you know, I’d be accused of being a Trump supporter.

ABC runs an anti-immigration article. Knock me down with a feather.
If you’ve been feeling poorer over the last decade, this graph explains why – ABC News
they do it from time to time, its nothing new. nothing comes out of it and then there’s another 10 pro-immigration articles that follow.
MB has been talking about a wind change in attitudes on all these kinds of subjects for ages, well where’s the change (there aint none).
This times many.
Token gesture.
yah, chalk this one up to “balance”
or perhaps some kite-flying
Juicey Michael Koziol can barely disguise his disgust at Christianity and the secular society it built at the best of times. He is a typical 2nd or 3rd generation Juicey migrant, who chaffs at living what was largely a secular Christian society and works tirelessly to undermine it and any part of its history that existed before they arrived, and see its values replaced with his own.
Here his article is dripping with threats, accusations and blatant fear mongering trying to rally support from Aust’s now significant army of unthinking secular goyim reactionaries and barbarians, like Mig and the Professor, steeped in the values that they love in their human cattle, so as to trigger them like so many rabid Pavlov’s dogs to do his dirty work and rise up against anyone associated with the religion and values he despises:
https://www.smh.com.au/politics/federal/it-s-our-turn-inside-the-christian-right-conference-plotting-a-political-takeover-20210303-p577fv.html
We see you Koziol.
More people noticing hence why they’re doubling down on a lot of cultural propaganda. IMO it’s one part arrogance but two parts fear.
My favourite is that Dr David Adler wanker. Spends all day tweeting about Israel and sits on the board of Advance Australia, another fake right grifter organisation promoting “judeo Christian values” (ie Israel first).
“judeo christian” is such an oxymoron
honestly “christio-islam” makes more sense
Well, both u-deo and ee-slamic leach inspiration from old testament.
Christianity uses new testament.
Just a thought.
Yup – every part of the “Bible” that is used to criticise ‘Christianity’ actually comes from the Jewish part of the Bible, which was only really included as an account for the story of creation and other universal Sumerian stories and fables, plus the long account of how the Jews ended up as Christians.
There isn’t a single passage in the New Testament or the teachings of Jesus that the baying haters use to discredit Christianity – it is ALWAYS the Jewish bible. I’ve often commented that the Old Testament is a summary of what is required in order to create a coherent society out of chaos, while the New Testament asks the question of what sort of society do you want to live in after the hard work has been done?
Want the TLDR summary of the New Testament?
“Treat others how you would have them treat yourself.”
Whadayakno… you said it so that I can agree.
Notice the order, which culture gets placed at the front. When you place a noun in front of another noun you turn into a modifier, which transforms or corrupts the subsequent noun. Judeo-Christian turns Christianity into an abomination.
Did you spot it? Did you see the reference to that new and strange religion that used to be called Christianity but is now known as Judeo-Christianity? “
https://pushingrubberdownhill.com/2019/07/01/there-is-no-judeo-western-anything/
We built our own civilisation and like an Oasis in the desert they sought to claim it.
They are writing themselves into our civilisation to justify taking it over, just like they did with the Romans, the Babylonians, the Egyptians and countless others. They contributed NOTHING.
I’m not on board with this take. It seems pedantic to ascribe to the mere ordering of hyphenated terms some kind of special meaning, let alone a nefarious one.
The sequencing could be accidental. Could be chronological. Could intend to give preeminence to Christianity (such as the husband’s name coming second in double-barrelled surnames in the Germanic tradition). Could be rendered differently in other languages. Who knows whether coined by a Jew or Christian (or neither).
Terminology aside, it’s probably more apt to the task to consider individuals in their individual capacity rather than what tribe they belong to (or not). Especially if discussing something like “contribution”
Out of curiosity I’ve looked into it’s origins before, to see if it existed as a term in the 17th, 18th or 19th century. It didn’t. This is as good as an account as to its origins as any:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Judeo-Christian
The term was invented as the neo movement in the US commenced their ascent following the pre and post war migration. The term did not exist prior to the US being colonised. It was always Christendom.
Cohen;
When you control the narrative you control both the moment and the history. The importance of words and language should not be underestimated, Ermo’s appreciation for the wisdom of Noam Chomsky is well placed – Chomsky is a trained linguist.
Reading that wiki, it looks like it’s a term that, over time, has had different implications and has also duly made both non-Jews and Jews unhappy, each for their own reasons.
seems to me to be a largely neutral terms and that Pushing Rubber guy is
jumping at shadows in this case.
Of course that is just my view and one shared by others, but other people can have entirely different point of views. Personally it annoys me, as I see it normalising a contribution which was next to non-existent.
They are less than 2% of the US population and even less in Europe, and played a role of any meaning within it, certainly within popular culture, for less than 100 years – hyphenating them into our civilization makes less sense that referring to Western civilization as the Aztec-Christian civilization.
It has been added, imho, as a claim of ownership.
Favourite part of covid has been watching the cosmopolitan softcocks in the comments section become more and more authoritarian when it comes to vaccines. Goo insight into how much of demoralised vessel the average Australian has become.
Edward Bernays is laughing from beyond the grave.
https://www.theage.com.au/business/workplace/vaccine-rollout-one-of-biggest-workplace-relations-issues-of-year-20210304-p577si.html
I will take my vaccination advice from Coming 🙂
“aussie ken” comments:
“Why is there a fear of non vaccinated people, when the vaccine is supposed to prevent you from contracting the virus. This does not make sense. What is the purpose of the vaccine if those who are vaccinated fear those who might not be.”
i’ve always wondered this myself, who GAF about whether someone isnt vaccinated when you’ve got the vaccine? the only time this is a concern is dealing with unvaccinated susceptible infants i thought, but infants are not affected by covid at all.
https://www.lifesitenews.com/mobile/news/experimental-vaccine-death-rate-for-israels-elderly-40-times-higher-than-covid-19-deaths-researchers
I have no clue how credible is this article, just got it via Telegram from a mate.
That is a worry.
i just got the joke of the image on this article – weekend links – photo of a LYNX
man im slow
Sidoti called out in 2019:
Politicians fight phoney war over Sydney’s ‘overdevelopment’ – MacroBusiness
Time to pay the piper:
John Sidoti and Sydney developer referred to ICAC over land dealings (smh.com.au)
Whoops looks like I upset David asking who is doing better Peachys $20k in afterpay vs Macrobusiness fund lol
That was a norty thing you did.
You asked about cashing out at the top… well my Feb 9 post ( https://www.ezfka.com/2021/02/09/peachy-portfolio-update-wandering-the-winningest-ways/ ) called “time”, saying:
and good timing it was.
PS: This is when time was called.
I’d be happy with a cool $185k
Also had to laugh you got the screenshot before he deleted my post. Wouldn’t want the troops waking up and pulling out their cash from MB fund would we…
yeah, fk. id kill for that kind of dough right now.
Honestly where do you invest atm? Everything is looking super shakey (except houses lol)
Everything has reached a new level of crazy right now and I feel like the right shorts would be best. But who knows what happens next given recent events.
only individual stock i own anymore is RDS B. i sold everything else. i got RDS b a about $30 after finally pulling the trigger. its no peachy portfolio but im satisfied here. its done better than my fund performance and i know nothing about investing/stocks, i just buy on my gut and whatever ‘seems’ right. works better than whatever fancy shit these professional funds appear to be doing.
Good onya! I was going to buy an oil major but never got around to it 🙁
It was quite a safe bet that oil would be back, whether in 6 months or in 12 – it would be back!
yeah i just let the oil doomers scare me into getting it at even lower, there was a point i could have bought it around 19-20 $ but i was too hesitant to pull the trigger
I have XLE and XES. XLE pays a good dividend too.
My plan was to short Tesla after it came off 10%-15% off the highs. But I wasn’t paying attention, so missed the bus.
…photers or it didn’t happen….
Way to take your fckn eye off the ball, Peachy!
i have an old mate over in america who had an infamous post about shortinbg tesla that circulated around the internet about 5 years ago. he predicted the company was “going to zero” and turned out to be spectacularly wrong, seriously this kind of crap is way too spooky for me and the market is too irrational. then again, i’ve been looking for some big ticket to get the fuck out from under for a while, so an idea like this some day might just be the solution.
There are no guarantees with this stuff, but you can play the percentages 😉
I’ve been following along since 2010 and I normally feel like I have a bit of a clue on where things are going next. But atm I have no idea where to look, everything seems so volatile. Maybe that’s a sign of the shape of things to come… Good luck to those with skin in the game.
Old mate has hitched his wagons to a commodity bust now, which will eventually happen on a long enough time line.
In the meantime he misses out on the commodity bull market of 2021 after missing out on the biggest bull run of all time in 2020.
It’s a strange mindset that holds those guys back. They’re petrified of making a losing trade. With proper risk management you only have to be right 1/5 times anyway.
here’s the mb fund results for FEB 2021, its been piss weak
–
could someone else (i.e beastie) who knows more about the mechanics of this fund weigh on why theyve been so crap the last year – they were nailing it up until covid then it all started falling apart, mediocre returns since.
A few things:
1) they nailed it pre-covid because AUD and Bonds were on a one way trip.
2) A “correct” decision to get out in Feb. In quotes because in reality they just got lucky there was a brief panic before MOAR
3) Believed #2 was more than just sheer luck and ended up missing the rally of a lifetime.
4) Learnt the hard way what other fund managers already know. That is, customers will forgive you for losing their money in a crash but won’t forgive you for underperforming the stock markets.
It mirrors much of the market.
arent they underperforming most super funds these days?
You know how a fox knows many things, but a hedgehog knows one big thing…?
well it seems to me the mbfund tried to be both the hedgehog and the fox and so doubly screwed up.
their BIG THING was the idea of some awful deflationary collapse & reset. Their MANY THINGS was to try to pick stocks in a bunch of markets/industries to profit in various ways when their big thing came off.
when their big thing didn’t come off, they failed in whole bunch of ways in their many bets.
Here’s the thing. you don’t need to bet on 300 different markets to make money. You just need to read a couple of markets or events correctly & bet on them (correctly).
Sounds like you’ve got Wilb’s Universal Investors’ Playbook and are running it play by… oh. Well repeatedly running the same play then. 😉
What do you mean, Wilb?
do you mean knowing one big thing, knowing it well and trading it well?
That is the way to do it. Wilbs seems to swing trade the ASX 200 index like me. Although I get the feeling I trade on a much shorter time frame.
So are you blokes going to post your trading tips? Or at least report on your wins?
(…not financial advice, yadda yadda…)
I play the numbers game. Lots of short term trades that I don’t particular care too much about individually and not worth bragging about. A bit like the guys that chat up dozens of women on a Saturday night.
I think some of the risk management stuff that I do would probably be of more interest.
You’re selling the risk management thing well…. but interested in trades (for context) too.
I will have a think about either writing an article or a post in the forum. Index is different to shares though.
Reading some of your other articles I would have thought some of the breakout strategies would be more appealing to you. Have a listen to this guy:
212: Breakouts, Home Runs & Exponential Returns w/ Kristjan Kullamägi | Chat With Traders
Thanks Freddy. That bloke makes a lot of sense to my fruity mind.
but he is obviously very active. I’m much more laid back – a couple of good trades a year is fine…
I’m much like Andrew Lloyd Webber – my music/play book’s only got one page in it…
And I keep running with it over and over again. Freddy is on the money below.
Low risk, large, and frequent. That’s how I’d describe it. BTFD wrapped up in a fluro safety vest.
I want to learn about the Wilbs method as well as the Freddy method. Maybe there could be some good legs in a Freddy-Wilbury medley/rhapsody…?
😘
Not sure you do, not really.
I tried real trading. Once. Lost half my stake. Slowly. And painfully.
I quit trading at that point.
And like every other fule then picked a new provider and lost ⅔ of the rest.
Then really quit.
And went back to what I’m doing now.
Yep, quit something successful to trade, failed at that and went back to the thing that was working for me before I stopped doing it to trade.
How uber genius is that ‘eh?
(greed meets stupidity probably)
Anyway, my motto is buy low, try not to have to sell lower (heh). Anything over 0.5% return on a ‘trade’ makes Wilbs a happy camper. (ASX200 ETF, basically), Getting better at it. It’s been years, so about time too.
Mine was more of a research idea based on some observations during the GFC. There was no intention to put myself through the stresses of trading unless I found myself unemployed later in life. I spent a few thousand bucks on good quality futures data and tried a few things out to see what works and what doesn’t.
Long story short. Most trading systems decay over time due to algo bots plus many millions of wannabe traders. You need to find an edge. In my case, after much experimentation I have a created couple custom indicators that made some otherwise unprofitable trading systems profitable.
200 trades last year. Still ramping up the size of my trades because part of the deal with myself was the system had to pay for itself (no risking life savings). The process of ramping up trade size has taught me a lot about the risk management side of things. Understanding the importance of MAR, volatility adjusted sizing, avoiding volatility leverage decay.
ps: In case Skippy gets to read this. Shove that Random Walk book up your marsupial butt.
Similar. But as it’s a main index ETF, there’s always a sell button available. So only risk is losing 3-4% every once in a really long while if I’ve really stuffed up an entry point. Ditto on indicators. But rather than look at extremely trady technicals to add to that (which I wouldn’t comprehend to be frank) I’ve learned to just assume all markets are rigged and predictable in that context and go from there. The assuming it’s rigged part (and therefore predictable to a large degree for 1-3 days) works really well for the ASX. 😀
Ok ok, I see that people are understandably reluctant to share the proprietary details of their strategies…
Perhaps we can have a retrospective from Wilbs on a couple of historical trades (eg “here’s when I bought ASX200 and why”) and some hard-earned risk management wisdom from Freddy…
