I run Ubuntu on all of my machines since about 2009 and I never looked back. I got a decent Dell XPS in 2018 and it still runs fast enough not to notice any performance issues. Next one due probably in 2028. Ubuntu can make your 15yo computer alive again. For the 3 legacy programmes which I need and can run only under M$, I have several Win VM and it does the trick. The rest have good/better alternatives in Linux.
