FWIW from my policing days, the usual process is visa cancellation then imprisonment, then they get detained on release from prison and sit there until they are deported. Unless they sign to be voluntarily deported upon release from prison which often happens, then they just take them straight to the airport and see you later.
High Court has basically said you can just claim your stateless and then roam around the community and do whatever the fuck you want now and you’re the burden of EZFKA, like everything else in this zone. I’d expect lawyers are going to use this tactic from now on.
